Ministries
Ministries keep each team's work separate. Events, Follow Up boards, attendance groupings, groups and volunteer teams all belong to a ministry. People only see the ministries they've been added to (Administrators see all of them).
Go to your avatar > Workspace Settings > Ministries. Only Administrators can change ministries.
Add a ministry
- Click Add Ministry.
- Type a Ministry Name, like "Kids Ministry".
- Pick a Color and an Icon.
- Click Create.
Nobody is added to a new ministry automatically. Go to Users and add the people who should see it.
Edit a ministry
Click the pencil next to it. Besides the name, color and icon, you can set Email Overrides for this ministry:
- Sender Name replaces your church name on emails this ministry sends. Families see it as "Your Name via Ministry Toolkit".
- Reply-To Email sends replies to this ministry's inbox instead of the workspace default.
Leave them blank to use the settings under Email.
Services
Services are the regular gatherings a ministry runs, like "Middle School Wednesday" or "Sunday 9am". Volunteer positions and small groups are organized under them.
- Click the calendar icon next to a ministry.
- Click Add Service.
- Fill in the Name, and optionally the Day, Time and Location.
- Click Create.
Use the arrows to change the order. Deleting a service also deletes the volunteer areas and positions under it. Groups under it aren't deleted; they just lose their service.
Delete a ministry
Click the trash icon and confirm. Events and boards in that ministry are unlinked, not deleted. You can't delete your last ministry.
Using ministries day to day
Pick a ministry with the ministry switcher in the top bar of any tool. See Find your way around.
