Volunteers settings

Go to Volunteers > Settings. Only Administrators and Ministry Leaders of the ministry can open it. Pick the ministry first.

What volunteers see in the Serve app is under App > Setup. See Roll out the Serve app.

CCB Group Sync

Keep one CCB group matching everyone actively serving in this ministry, for example so your "Kids Ministry Volunteers" group in CCB is always right.

1. Click Set up CCB group sync...
2. Search for the CCB group and pick it.
3. Click Save link. This also keeps it in sync on every Auto-Sync.
4. To run it now, click Sync now, then confirm.

What happens:

• Active volunteers are added to the CCB group.
• Anyone in the CCB group who isn't an active volunteer is removed from it. Pick a group used only for this.
• Group leaders in CCB are never removed.
• People not in CCB are skipped.

It also runs when you click Sync in Volunteers.

Profile Fields

Questions volunteers answer on their profile, like favorite candy, T-shirt size or preferred gift card.

1. Click Add field.
2. Type the Question.
3. Pick Free text or Pick from a list (then type the choices, separated by commas).
4. Pick Who sees it.
5. Optionally, only ask it when another question has a certain answer.
6. Click Add field.

Volunteers answer in the Serve app under Me. Staff can fill them in from a volunteer's record under About.

Deleting a field deletes everyone's answers to it.
