Mission Control

Mission Control is the live board for VBS week. It shows what's happening now, what's next, where every group is and lets you find any child in seconds.

Go to Sign Ups > Mission Control. It needs days and time slots set up first.

During VBS​

  • The top shows Live now or Up next, a countdown and the time slots for the day.
  • Where everyone is shows each station and the groups at it. Switch to By group to see each group's current station.
  • Between rotations, it shows where each group starts next.

Find a child​

Use the search box (on a phone, tap Find a Child) and type a name. You'll see:

  • where they are right now and their schedule for the day
  • their pickup code
  • allergy, dietary and medication notes
  • parent contacts you can tap to call or email

Before VBS starts​

Outside the event dates, Mission Control shows VBS isn't live today. Pick a day and time slot and click Start preview to see how it will look. Click Stop preview when you're done.

Put it on a big screen​

Click Full screen to open a clean view for a TV or projector.

The full-screen view doesn't pick up changes like new kids or group moves. Close it and open it again after making changes.

Share with volunteers​

Give volunteers Mission Control on their own phones without a Ministry Toolkit account.

  1. Click Share.
  2. Choose a password (at least 4 characters) and click Create link.
  3. Click Copy and send the link and password to your team.

The link works for 7 days. Click Renew 7 days to extend it. It updates every 15 seconds.

The shared page includes children's medical notes and parent phone numbers. Only share it with your team.

  • Change password stops new people using the old password. Phones that already opened it stay signed in.
  • Revoke turns the link off immediately for everyone. Creating a new one gives a new address.
