Event volunteers

Sign Ups > Volunteers is the volunteer roster for one event: cabin leaders, drivers, station leaders. It shows when the event has Assignments turned on.

This is separate from the Volunteers tool. Adding someone here doesn't make them a ministry volunteer or give them the Serve app. It only puts them on this event's roster.

Add a volunteer​

  1. Click Add Volunteer.
  2. On Existing person, search by name or email and click Add. Not there? Search CCB from the same box.
  3. For someone who isn't in CCB and only helps this once, use One-off guest and fill in their name.
  4. Pick their Role and groups in the panel that opens, then click Save.

Assign roles and groups​

Click a volunteer to open their panel:

  • Role, like Cabin Leader or Driver.
  • A group for each assignment type (for example their cabin and their bus).
  • Station (VBS events).

Remove from event takes them off this event's roster and out of their groups straight away.

To set the same role or group for several people, tick them and click Assign role / group. Leave a field on Leave unchanged to keep what each person already has.

Roles​

Click Roles to add, rename or recolor roles. Roles belong to this event.

Import from CCB​

  1. Click Import from CCB.
  2. Pick a CCB group or saved search and click Import.

Everyone in it is added to the roster with no role or group. The source is remembered for next time, but it doesn't import on its own. Import again to pick up new people.

Export and name tags​

  • Export to CSV downloads the roster.
  • Print Name Tags (VBS events) prints tags for everyone or the people you've selected.
