Prayer
Group leaders collect prayer requests at the end of group in the Serve app. Staff see every request on Groups > Prayer and can pray along.
How leaders add requests
In the Serve app, the Prayer section at the end of a lesson (or on the group screen):
- Tap What did they share?
- Tap a student's face (or All for the whole group), type the request and press Return.
- Keep going for the next one.
Leaders can add updates, mark requests Answered or Archive them. Requests with no update for about a month move to Needs a check-in so the leader asks how things are going.

The staff Prayer page
- Praying for and Answered tabs. Search by student or request.
- Each request shows the student, group, leader, date and how many times it's been prayed for.
- Click I prayed to add your prayer (once a day).
- Click a request to read its updates.
Staff can delete a request, which removes it from the leader's app too. Staff can't add or edit requests.
Everything leaders write is visible to your staff team. Let leaders know, so they don't write anything a student shared in confidence.
Turn prayer on or off
Prayer settings are in Volunteers > App > Setup > Prayer:
- Prayer: the whole feature.
- Prayer in lessons: adds a Prayer section to the end of every lesson.
- Leaders add requests.
- Updates and answers.
Prayer shows once a group's season has started.
